Wow - we’ve been coming to Amalfi for the last 25 years (since we were in our 20s) and I have to say this wine tour was the absolute highlight of all our visits (and be clear, it’s so much more than a wine tour). Tour organiser Andrea was really helpful, even though we booked really late. Our driver, Fabian, was friendly, accommodating and very safe (something to be welcomed on the roads of the Amalfi coast!), turning up on time an air conditioned Mercedes mini van (again, very welcome!). Our first stop was to Ravello, which is close to Amalfi, but would otherwise cost a lot to go to by taxi (or take a long time by non-air conditioned bus). It’s a lovely town, up high in the mountains, and the 1hr 20m we had there was plenty of time to peruse the local shops, have an ice cream, coffee and visit the Duomo. Then Fabian drove us to the wine tasting. Honestly, this was the most amazing sensory experience we’ve ever had. Gerardo was our brilliant host, managing to make the experience work for all ages (16, 18, 19, and two 40-somethings) and make everyone feel special. We went for the wine experience, but the whole thing was amazing. Set in the family home (also the business) of Gerardo, it started with a brief tour of the vineyard itself. Then onto the food - which was unreal. Eight courses! Yes, EIGHT! All served in a very slow, measured way that made you savour very mouthful (Gerardo demanded this .. he’s like a zen wine Jedi). Here’s a run down of what we ate (which catered for two vegetarians) … grilled vegetable plate, omelette, caprese salad sticks, burrata (this was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life … I mean it was all incredible, but this … wow!), local ham on garlic bread, fresh tomato and basil pasta, cheese board, lemon tiramisu. Wow! And copious amounts of fresh bread. All served in the intimate surroundings of a private cool (yay!) room where you eat in the shadow of the towering wine vats. It was amazing - and we all absolutely loved it. The wine didn’t stop flowing (oh yeah - the wine was great too!) and we enjoyed a good sleep on the way home in Fabian’s air conditioned merc. Thank you Gerardo and team … you delivered the most amazing afternoon lunch and wine tasting in truly beautiful surroundings. And thank you Andrea and Fabian for your jolly manner and brilliant communication. 10/10 without hesitation. I recommend this trip very very highly. A great day out.

Andrea and his team were great, very reliable and professional. We booked transfers and two day trips with Andrea. Andrea waited reliably for us at the airport and drove us quickly and comfortably to Amalfi. On one day he drove us to Pompeji and then we hiked to the top of the volcano. All private, just us, without any stress. I also booked a private boat trip along the Amalfi Coast with Andrea, which was incredibly beautiful. On the last day we wanted to spend our day in Naples. Andrea and Luciano helped us to store our luggage there and showed us everything. Next time I would only book rides and day trips with Andrea and his team. 10/10 recommendation
